Guy Bourdin - Image Maker

Saphia and I headed for Somerset House to catch one of the latest photographic exhibits 'Guy Bourdin - Image Maker'. Bourdin's fashion photographs are truly iconic you can instantly see his influence on the industry. It was really inspiring to see such a back catalogue of the photographers work.  A large collection and some unseen photos from his long standing relationship with Charles Jourdan. Seeing his notebooks along with original polaroids and sketches was very intriguing. It is very clear to see how he has made such an impression on photographers today. The exhibition is on until March 15th I'd definitely recommend a visit, tickets can be booked in advance but can also be bought on the day.

We stopped by the East Wing Galleries to see 'Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie, and The Advent of Punk' this exhibition really immerses you in the seventies and eighties music scene. I loved the candid shots and seeing behind the scenes photos; polaroids of Debbie Harry shot by Andy Warhol. The exhibition has been extended and now finishes on February 8th, entry is free.

Happy 2 Month Birthday Little J!

I truly can not believe it has been 2 months since Little J arrived into the world. I am in two minds as to whether it feels like weeks or he's just always been there. He's growing cuter by the day not that I am biased or anything. James is such a strong little soul already, beaming smiles, talking away and trying to hold his head up. He also now fits in his bear suit I got him for Christmas, I can not wait to snap some more photos of him wearing it. Getting to capture these early is so much more special than I ever could have imagined. Last week Little J made his first trip to a photobooth, I'm really looking forward to documenting his growth in them, hoping my obsession with the beloved old school photobooth becomes one of his as well.

I hear those voices that will not be drowned

If you've followed this little blog of mine for a while, you'll know I'm a huge fan of Aldeburgh! An incredible Suffolk gem, ideal for a weekend getaway and the perfect day trip to pick yourself up especially during January. Emily, Nathan & I headed North for the coast, with the perfect Sunday morning playlist blaring through the speakers cruising along the country roads, we made a pit stop for bacon butties, it would be rude not to right?

Cereal Killer Cafe

Yesterday afternoon Toni, Little J and I took a trip to one of Shoreditch's newest haunts the Cereal Killer Cafe. It sure didn't disappoint and was far better than the crazy coloured cafe I'd created in my head! The staff were super helpful and friendly. The variety of cereals on offer is quite literally jaw dropping!! I opted for whats already become their signature cereal cocktail 'chocopotomus' and Toni had a seriously cinnamon affair. To top this already fab experience off was the absolutely CRACKING playlist they had going. I'm already planning my next trip so expect to see a few more photos.
