2015 What a Year!

2015... Where do I begin? This post has been a pretty mammoth task to put together, but I am really pleased that I decided to create a round up post for the year as it's made me reflect on what a really incredible year has just passed. Overall it has been such a positive year, so many changes but all for the better. You better grab a cuppa...

Desmond & Dempsey

Did you all have an amazing Christmas? I hope you're reading this sat in your pj's on the sofa enjoying this super relaxing limbo time between Christmas and New Year. I love this time of year, spent with family and friends. Lazy mornings and afternoons sat around a fire watching films stuffing your face with endless chocolates, not forgetting the ultimate leftovers sandwich with turkey and all the trimmings.

Brewer Street

This time of year is prime for getting to shoot in the golden hour earlier in the day, which if you have read my blog for some time you'll know this is one of my favourite times of day to shoot. It casts such an incredibly unique light and warm halos around your subject. I shot these photos with Amy the last time she was down in London for my early birthday celebrations (which you can see here), although it almost looks as if we've been transported to Brooklyn... if only!! Soho, London will have to do for now.

Christmas Shopping on Oxford St

10 days to go! I repeat 10 days until CHRISTMAS!!
Last week Megan invited me a along for a day of Christmas shopping on Oxford Street, one of London's most iconic streets. We had a whole day planned out from breakfast through to visiting my favourite Christmas shopping destination. What a special way to start my birthday week and get even more festive!

Swinging Sixties with The Little Magpie

I loved working on this collaboration with Amy and Very Exclusive. I'm really chuffed, the vibe that we were able to capture really resonates with a swinging sixties feel.

This Red Valentino dress looks like Amy could have swiped it from Alexa Chung's wardrobe, and the super stylish shades from Mui Mui making Amy look like a sixties starlet. I can't believe the range of designers and brands on Very Exclusive, not a site I have looked at in the past but shall definitively be browsing from now on.

Early Birthday Celebrations with Amy

Ahead of my birthday this weekend Amy came down from Scotland for some early birthday celebrations. She wasn't able to make it down during December, so she decided to book a flight down to visit little me to celebrate and of course shoot some sassy outfits for her blog. We had such a wonderful two days together. I can honestly say I had the nicest time and arrived home feeling so content and happy!

Thoughts of a cosy weekend...

Thoughts of a cosy weekend morning walk to the local market picking up treats for the weekend. Isabella and I shot these along Broadway Market in Shoreditch and grabbed coffee at one of our favourite spots, Climpsons & Sons. A coffee shop and coffee roaster company it is always busy in there and I love the buzz the cafe has. They serve seriously good coffee met with a whole selection of tasty food. Isabella has wrapped up warm in a soft grey jumper, leather jacket and fur gillet all from Reiss. You can shop the full look on Isabella's blog. What are your plans for the weekend?

Little J's 1st Birthday

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY JAMES!
 aka; Little J, Jamie & J!

I can not believe its been a year since you arrived into the world and filled us with such joy. A joy that has continued to grow and grow over the past 12 months. You have changed and grown so much and learnt things faster than I could ever imagined, a little Einstein on our hands perhaps.

Start with the shoes with The Little Magpie

Dune's new campaign is called 'Start with the shoes', basing your outfit choice around choosing your shoes first. An interesting concept as I have never thought of doing this previously. By choosing your shoes first whether they're heels or flats, you can decide from there whether you want your outfit to have a casual or dressy look. I love how Amy's paired these gorgeous red heels with a casual outfit. The shoes make this whole outfit pop and give it much more flare than if Amy had worn flats. I'm definitely gonna try my hand to starting with the shoes!

Dressed in all Nude - Isabella

I love how Isabella has put together this all nude look with sleek gold details. The whole outfit is from Reiss and has such a luxurious feel. It would be perfect for so many occasions; shopping in Notting Hill, a walk along a flower market at the weekend or brunch with a group of friends.
